10th Annual Fill the Gazebo: “A Dollar Does It”

Livingston Association of RealtorsGleaners Community Food Bank and the Livingston County Association of REALTORS® are proud to present the 10th Annual Fill the Gazebo event on Saturday May 5th, 2012 from 9 AM – 1 PM. Individuals, businesses, churches, and civic clubs are asked to bring non-perishable food items to the Brighton Gazebo at the Mill Pond or the Howell Gazebo on the Livingston County Courthouse lawn.

This year, interest is growing, and the event will expand to several other locations throughout Livingston County including Busch’s in Pinckney, Kroger in Brighton, Hamburg, Howell, and Hartland; GFS Marketplace in Brighton, Wal-Mart in Hartland, and Curtis Grocery in Fowlerville.

Some suggested items to donate (no glass please)

  • Canned meals
  • Spaghetti O’s
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Cereal
  • Pasta and pasta sauce
  • Toiletries
  • Laundry detergent

According to Gleaners, approximately 63% of beneficiaries are children and seniors. No child should go hungry this summer. Our goal this year is to provide 40,000 meals for needy people. Gleaners can stretch $1 into three meals for the hungry. Let’s eliminate hunger in our community.
