REALTOR® Code of Ethics Training
As a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), all REALTORS® are required to complete 2 hours and 30 minutes of Code of Ethics training during each training cycle. This requirement helps ensure that REALTORS® uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct while serving their clients and communities.
The training must meet the learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
Code of Ethics training may be completed through:

NAR's online Code of Ethics courses

Courses offered by your local or state REALTOR® association

Other approved online or classroom courses that satisfy NAR's requirements
Once you have completed the training, please submit your certificate of completion to LCAR so we can update your membership record.
Important: Failure to complete the required Code of Ethics training within the current cycle may result in suspension of REALTOR® membership until the requirement has been satisfied.

REALTOR® Fairhaven 2.0
Fair housing compliance is a fundamental responsibility of every real estate professional in Michigan. Federal and state laws work together to ensure equal housing opportunities and prohibit discrimination in the sale, rental, financing, advertising, and marketing of housing.
Michigan's fair housing protections are based on the Federal Fair Housing Act and reinforced by state laws, including the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act and the Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act. Together, these laws establish and protect the rights of individuals in housing transactions.
Michigan Continuing Education Requirement
All Michigan real estate licensees are required to complete one hour of State Fair Housing continuing education during each licensing year as part of the state's annual license renewal requirements. This training helps ensure licensees remain informed about current fair housing laws, best practices, and compliance obligations.
